The Baja 1000
The raptor took place in a huge offroad event called the Baja 1000 and 631 mile offroad journey with a goal to get there as fast as possible. The raptor placed third in it's class with a time of 25 hours, 28 minutes, 10 seconds. This raptor was beefed up with a 500hp 6.2 to keep up with the other less stock vehicles in the class. The finishing time is impressive for a mostly stock vehicle and Ford just wanted to finish the race. This helped advertise the capabilities of the SVT Raptor.
